In this edition of the guru spotlight, we sat down with our Product Manager, Julio Monasterio, to discuss his journey with Estateguru so far, what he does in his down time, and why he feels that most people would love to work at the company.
How long have you been part of the Estateguru team?
I’ve been here for one year.
What’s your mission at the company?
My role is all about improving customer experience, and supporting the Sales and Marketing teams. I focus on making sure the platform is user friendly, easy to navigate, and that information is available and current. I also work on providing payment solutions, and other tools that facilitate and improve our user’s investment journey.
Estateguru’s key values are growth-orientation, boldness, freedom, honesty, determination, and empathy. How do you experience these values in the company?
Our People & Culture team put a lot of effort into making sure that everyone feels good. They embody the empathy that is one of our values, and their efforts are greatly appreciated. They are frequently gauging the general mood, with surveys and questionnaires and it’s clear they really care. The freedom to work remotely is also great!
What do you like most about working at Estateguru?
The product team is great, and highly skilled, which makes my job much easier. I really appreciate my colleagues, and working with them has been a great experience. We have different teams at Estateguru, and I like the way work is delegated to maximise the contribution that we can all make.
Tell us something interesting about yourself. What do you do in your free time?
I have eclectic tastes. I enjoy movies, and television series, playing games and sports, walking, and socialising with friends. I tend to read a lot as well, but most of the books I am reading at the moment are work related, focusing on product management and development.
