In this edition of the guru spotlight interview series, we spoke to our Head of Product, Vadims Marinecs, about his journey with Estateguru, his mission at the company, why he thinks other talented people should work here, and what he likes to do in his spare time.

How long have you been part of the Estateguru team?
I’ve been a part of the Estateguru team for two years now, following my anniversary, which was on November 15. It’s been an amazing journey so far and I look forward to continuing with Estateguru for much longer.
What’s your mission at the company?
As the Head of Product, my primary mission at the company is to coordinate the execution of our product roadmap and lead a dedicated team of three talented product managers—Ago, Maria, and Julio. I am also filling a role as a Product Manager myself.

As a Head of Product at Estateguru, the company’s key values, including growth-orientation, are reflected in our product roadmap and the product features we deliver. It is evident in our determination to deliver creative solutions and our willingness to take calculated risks when delivering new features to our customers.
I appreciate the freedom granted to me, which allows me to make independent decisions within my role. Honesty and empathy are cornerstones to build transparent communication and trust within the teams and with our users and stakeholders.
What do you like most about working at Estateguru?
I like working at Estateguru due its unique combination of being a small company with large and ambitious goals. The environment here, informed as it is by the company’s values, provides a great opportunity for personal and professional growth, offering the chance to make a tangible impact on the company’s wide-ranging objectives. The international environment further enriches the work experience. But the most important thing are the people that form our dedicated and passionate Estateguru team. All these things make working at Estateguru a fulfilling and enjoyable journey for me.
Tell us something interesting about yourself. What do you do in your free time? Oh, and we also love their quirks, so what’s yours/makes you unique?
In my free time, I am an amateur long-distance runner, kickstarting each day with a training run that varies in distance and intensity (depending on my training plan). Regardless of the weather, there is no excuse to skip a session. Adding to my routine, I dedicate time to the gym for strength training twice a week. Besides just training, I also participate in competitions, with decent results.
Winter brings its own thrill – winter swimming. It’s my third year of this incredible experience. Beyond running, I identify as an outdoors enthusiast, having previously enjoyed hiking and climbing as a hobby. I love mountains, so maybe I will come back to this hobby later in my life. And when I take a break from running, I enjoy riding road bikes.
