Once a year the Estateguru team gets together to celebrate Summer Days with a mix of strategy, inspiration, fun and adventure.
Since our team is spread across multiple countries, with outposts in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Armenia, it is very important to us that, at least once a year, we get together in person to reflect on the past, strategize for the future and simply revel in each other’s company.
Here is a look at what we got up to in 2021.
DAY 1: Strategy – Tallinn, Estonia
We gathered in the Tallinn Kultuurikatel (Creative Hub) and kicked off the day with a session of inspiration, presented by the amazing (servant) facilitator Rain Tunger, a man of vast talent and the unmatched ability to inspire others with his boundless positivity.
Feeling suitably buzzing and ready to conquer the world, we moved on to the serious business of looking back at the past year and planning for the next. While what was discussed in the second part will remain a mystery for now as we wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, we ended the day feeling rightfully proud of our achievements over the last year and absolutely raring to get going on the next.
The day was capped with a guided lantern tour in the very unique suburb of Tallinn – Kopli.
DAY 2: Fun – Rummu, Estonia
On the morning of the second day, we headed out of Tallinn to Rummu (Paekalda Holiday Resort), an enormous manmade lake in the Estonian countryside. We rowed across the lake in teams of six, climbed what some guys jokingly called the ‘Estonian Alps’ (for those who don’t know, Estonia is a very flat country), then spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the hot tubs.
As evening arrived, we entered the hot Latin-themed atmosphere: dressed in our finest funky outfits to sip Cuban cocktails and enjoy a lovely dinner followed by our first-ever (but now definitely annual) top Gurus awards ceremony.
Then, all that was left to do was dance the night away, sauna, swim, smoke hookahs and celebrate.
DAY 3: More fun – Muhu Island, Estonia
Those of us who still had energy in abundance set off for Muhu Island and an evening of live music in this idyllic location at the Muhu Music Farm. Our colleagues shared their barbecuing skills, their DJing talents and even joined the performers on stage, with CEO Marek Pärtel leading the way as always.
It was a truly fantastic way to end the weekend on a relaxed, chilled and funky vibe.
On, Sunday, we took our foreign colleagues on a nice tour of Pärnu’s beach hotspots, before heading back to Tallinn, inspired and thankful for the amazing team spirit that we have managed to foster, even while working so far apart.
What was our main takeaway from the event? To acknowledge yet again how one team, despite being thousands of kilometers apart, can actually also be so close.
